Asset verification and tagging for major UK Airport

Brief
After a period of rapid expansion and investment a UK airport operator wanted to align its operational and financial records as well as tag each asset.
Work
A capital asset hierarchy was agreed and established which was applied in the creation of the combined fixed asset register.
Over 8,000 air-side and land-side assets were inspected to provide an accurate and comprehensive description, a condition report, physical location and a unique asset identification number via an asset tag.
Outcome
All management teams now have access to a single fixed asset register providing improved and transparent financial and operational asset management, budgeting and reporting capability.
