Four Successful Hickman Shearer Broadcast Equipment Auctions
In recent months, Hickman Shearer has delivered four successful auctions across the film, broadcast, events and AV integration sectors. With over 1,250 lots sold and 831 bidders from 22 countries, the sales reflect a buoyant international market and underline the continuing global demand for high quality technical equipment.
From cinema cameras and production lighting to extended reality studio gear and exhibition rigging, each auction demonstrated our ability to connect specialist assets with the right buyers at scale.
Here’s a look at the highlights from each sale:
Pixipixel: High Spec Production Equipment Goes Global
This auction featured a wide range of professional film and photography equipment, drawing competitive bids from around the world. The 418 lots on offer included:

Cameras including Arri Alexa 35, RED V Raptor ST8K, Ronin 4D and Sony FX-6 and FX-9 systems, complete with accessories

Lenses for cine and stills, full frame, prime, anamorphic and specialty

Lighting systems ranging from LED to tungsten, HMI and fluorescent

Grip, power and accessories including tripods, batteries, distribution, cabling and memory cards

With a 100 percent sell through rate, the auction saw equipment purchased by buyers in 18 countries, including the UK, Germany, the United States, Australia and Japan. The result demonstrates strong global appetite for high end production assets, particularly from professional studios and independent content creators expanding their in-house capabilities.
Media Power House: AV Integration and Ex Hire Event Equipment
The Media Power House auction offered a large volume of unused and lightly used equipment from leading AV brands. With 536 lots, the sale covered a wide spectrum of categories:

Systems integration equipment from manufacturers including Apple, Blackmagic, Canon, Crestron, JBL, Martin, Sennheiser, Yamaha and many others

Salmonstone: Power, Rigging and Exhibition Lighting
This focused auction brought together a high volume of staging and exhibition infrastructure. Across 265 lots, bidders had access to:

The auction achieved a 90 percent sell through rate, with assets finding new use across three countries – the UK, Italy and Romania – where demand remains strong for dependable technical infrastructure in the events sector.
Extended Reality: Specialist Virtual Production Equipment
In a targeted sale of 35 lots, Hickman Shearer supported the resale of extended reality studio technology. Highlights included:
