Joint Single expert in the family court

Brief

In the course of a matrimonial dispute the court gave instructions for the parties to obtain an independent joint single expert witness report to be used to agree the value of the matrimonial assets including vintage car refurbishment business.

Work

An inspection of engineering machine tools and automotive repair assets and some detailed market research enabled us to provide a market valuation of the assets.

Outcome

A detailed report for the Court detailing our valuation approach and methodology enabled the parties to arrive at an agreed pre-hearing settlement.
