Brief
Video Europe made a strategic decision to exit the outside broadcast operator market and concentrate on equipment hire.
Our competitive bid won the mandate to sell (3) outside broadcast trucks over a 6-month period.
Work
The Covid-19 pandemic created material uncertainty and a loss of investment in the sector but given consistent global marketing interest was maintained.
Further competitive issues arose as the bankruptcy of a competitor brought 13 other OB units onto to the UK market but given the re-tendering of many contacts by broadcasters demand for the units increased to satisfy wider demand.
Outcome
Sale realisation matched expectation and timing enabling Video Europe to realise the value of complex and sometimes illiquid assets to the market, reinvesting into core broadcast hire equipment
